Organizations need to start looking at what "work" will be in ten years. We are moving at a rapid pace to a gig economy, globalized with fractional employment. The best and brightest will value flexibility above all else, and therefore the employee experience needs to meet people where they are - be that an office, home or any measure of third place.
It has to be frictionless and help build intentional connectivity so that when people do come together they get maximum value. And as practitioners, we have to earn the employees commute by providing meaningful experiences and connection that make them want to be present - again, driven by the tasks and focused on why.
